Senior Director, Climate and Renewable Energy, World Wildlife Fund
Since joining WWFUS in 2011, Marty has led efforts to mobilize business to tackle climate change through action and policy. As Senior Director, Climate and Renewable Energy, he has championed the creation of the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance and Corporate Renewable Energy Buyers’ Principles, which is mobilizing over 60 large US brand companies to make it easier to buy renewable energy. He has over 25 years of experience with non-profits and across all levels of government collaborating with businesses, NGOs and governments to drive sustainable business solutions. Before joining WWF, Marty led efforts to pass national climate legislation for CCAP. He also has extensive legislative and executive branch experience, having served on the Science Committee in U.S. House of Rep. and as the E.D. of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development. Marty has a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Management/Policy Studies from the University of Buffalo, and a B.A. in Economics and History from Binghamton University.
