Krishna Makineni has a master’s degree in computer science, and has been working as a software professional for the past 10 years. Now transitioning into a career in conservation, he’s enrolled in a master’s degree in environmental science and public policy at George Mason University. Particularly interested in the conservation of coral reef ecosystems, presently he is undertaking a coral virtual microscope project that will help university students and their professors analyze histological data.
