National Education Coordinator for the National Sea Grant College Program
Dr. Lilley is the National Education Coordinator for the National Sea Grant College Program. Based out of Silver Spring, MD he coordinates with Sea Grant educators across the Sea Grant network to foster better communication and collaboration. He manages the John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship and serves as a Federal Program Officer for three Sea Grant programs (Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin). Prior to joining Sea Grant, Jonathan worked in NOAA’s Office of Education where he managed the Coastal Ecosystem Learning Center Network. Jonathan received his doctorate in Marine Policy from the University of Delaware and has undertaken postdoctoral research at the University of Hawai‘i and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. Outside the office, Jonathan spends his time chasing after his 11-month old and learning to play the violin.
