Felipe Carazo

Felipe Carazo is the Executive Director of FUNDECOR, where he leads the implementation 
of good, innovative and visionary conservation and resource management practices and 
schemes, securing effective and efficient implementation of strategic initiatives. Felipe 
brings more than fifteen years of experience developing and overseeing programs and 
initiatives addressing integral landscape management. His work includes a vast portfolio of 
programs and projects promoting climate change mitigation and adaptation and watershed 
management in Central America, Mexico, Peru, Morroco, Indonesia and Madagascar. He 
holds a Master Degree in environmental Management from Nicholas School of 
Environment, mayor in Resource Economics and Policy, Duke University. Prior to joining 
Fundecor, Felipe Carazo worked for ten years at The Nature Conservancy (TNC). He served 
as Head of The Environmental Program Unit and focal point for the Global Environmental 
Fund (GEF).
