Pitches for the Planet

April 23, 2017 | 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Throughout the Earth Optimism Summit, 17 invention teams have been working on solving problems pitched to them by delegates the first morning.  Finalists will come to the stage and PITCH their ideas to the audience and a group of judges.  A winner will be selected, and will be interviewed by Smithsonian Regent and leading Washington Philanthropist David Rubenstein.  Afterwards, Rubenstein will present some of the top pledges made during the Summit, and invite people to continue making their own pledges while enjoying the afternoon “Earth Optimism Film Festival.”
