Communications Lead, Earth Optimism
Cat Kutz is the communications lead for the Smithsonian's Earth Optimism initiative. She has over half a decade of experience working on science and advocacy communications for conservation NGOs and brings a personal passion for elevating conservation efforts into the public eye. Cat particularly enjoys focusing on stories of solutions and wildlife brought back from the brink of extinction which manifests in her curation of the Earth Optimism social media channels. She is currently in graduate school at George Mason University for the opportunity to take classes at the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation and dive deeper into conservation practice.
